On cross-border trips, every passenger — including infants — must hold valid travel documents and whatever papers immigration requires. Check each document's validity before travelling and allow time for port clearance.

• Child seats: provided free of charge; state the child's age and the number of seats when enquiring so they can be arranged in advance.
• Luggage space: mention prams, wheelchairs and other bulky items when enquiring so a suitable vehicle can be confirmed.
• Accessibility: tell us in advance about passengers with limited mobility so boarding and alighting can be planned.

Pacing and pick-up points

Leave buffer time on multi-stop days rather than packing the schedule tight; during holidays, MICE events and race or festival periods, book early and set off a little earlier.

For cross-border trips with children or elderly passengers, a direct ride reduces walking and transfers inside the ports; choose pick-up and drop-off points with somewhere to wait — a hotel lobby, the airport or a ferry terminal.
