Frequently Asked Questions

How are cross-border trips priced?
We quote by route or service plan — not by meter. Before quoting we explain what is included and any possible surcharges; the quotation confirmed by both parties always prevails.
What travel documents do I need for cross-border trips?
Passengers must hold valid travel documents, visas and all papers required for immigration, and maintain lawful entry, exit and stay status. Booking ahead is recommended for cross-border trips.
How do trips between Hong Kong and Macau work?
HK–Macau routes are served by licensed cross-border taxis via the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge. Guangdong–Macau and local Macau trips are arranged flexibly to your itinerary.
Can you provide a receipt or sign a service contract?
Receipts are provided as agreed; service contracts are available for major projects or volume bookings.
How quickly will you reply to an enquiry?
Enquiries are normally answered within 4 hours; complex or major projects may take longer as discussed. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking — vehicles are assigned after the quote is confirmed and payment completed.
What are the cancellation and waiting rules?
Please give at least 72 hours' notice to cancel. Vehicles wait free of charge for 15 minutes after arrival; if the passenger cannot be reached after that, the trip is treated as cancelled.
Do you have a physical counter for on-site reception?
Yes — we run a service counter in the arrivals hall of the Taipa Ferry Terminal for on-the-spot enquiries and reception.
Is Midsky a licensed travel agency?
Yes. Midsky Travel Agency Ltd. is a travel agency licensed by the Macao Government Tourism Office and carries travel agency professional civil liability insurance. You can look the company up in the MGTO licensed entities registry.
Can I take a car directly from Hong Kong Airport to Macau?
Yes. Licensed cross-border taxis run between Hong Kong International Airport and Macau via the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge. Send us your flight details and drop-off point for a quote; valid travel documents are required.
Large group and lots of luggage — should we book a car or hail taxis?
If your group exceeds one taxi's capacity, carries substantial luggage, has a multi-stop itinerary or is crossing the border, booking ahead lets us confirm the vehicle, timing and price in advance. For short trips in town with light luggage, hailing a taxi is usually enough.
How can I check a cross-border car arrangement is legitimate?
Check three things: the operator is verifiable (Macau travel agencies can be looked up in the MGTO licensed entities registry); you receive a written quote with fees itemised before travel; receipts are available, with service contracts for larger bookings.
Can you accommodate children or elderly passengers?
Yes. Mention children, elderly passengers, accessibility or child-seat needs when you enquire and we will assign a suitable vehicle. Every passenger — including infants — needs valid travel documents for cross-border trips.
How should I arrange a car for a multi-stop day in Macau?
We arrange multi-stop itineraries covering the Macau Peninsula, Taipa, Coloane and the hotels. Share your stops and rough timings and we will quote by route or hours of service.
How far in advance should I book?
The earlier the better — vehicles and cross-border arrangements are in high demand during holidays, MICE events and race or festival periods. Vehicles are assigned after the quote is confirmed and payment completed.
