Booking and payment
How do I book on the website?
Click “Book online”, enter your itinerary, review the quote and place your booking; vehicles are assigned after payment is completed and we have accepted your booking. For complex or major projects, please contact us; service contracts are available on request.
How are cross-border trips priced?
We quote by route or service plan — not by meter. Before quoting we explain what is included and any possible surcharges; the quotation confirmed by both parties always prevails.
Is paying online safe? What can I pay with?
When you tap Continue to payment, you go to the encrypted Stripe checkout and enter your card only there — this site never sees or stores your card number. Online payments are processed through Stripe Checkout, and the payee is named before you pay. Stripe holds PCI DSS Level 1 certification, the card industry’s top security level. You can pay with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, WeChat Pay or Alipay (Apple Pay appears in Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac; the Stripe payment page shows which methods you can actually use). Once you have paid, you receive a payment confirmation email with your order link; any refund goes back to the method you paid with.
Can you provide a receipt or sign a service contract?
Receipts are provided as agreed; service contracts are available for major projects or volume bookings.
Cancellation and waiting
What are the cancellation and waiting rules?
Refunds are tiered by how long before pickup you cancel; the current tiers are those shown on the booking page and your order page. No refund once the driver has set off. If we cannot supply a vehicle for a reason attributable to us, you are refunded in full. In special circumstances such as severe weather or a delayed or cancelled flight, please contact customer service and we will review it case by case. One free reschedule is allowed more than 24 hours before the service time. If the driver arrives at the agreed location and cannot contact the passenger, the driver will wait free of charge for 15 minutes. If contact still cannot be made after that period, the booking is treated as a no-show and handled as a cancellation. Longer waiting can be arranged if the passenger gives advance notice. Please refer to the service terms and the quotation or order confirmed by both parties.
Do I have to phone to cancel?
Not for online bookings. Cancel on your “My order” page yourself and it is settled on the spot under the cancellation rules, and any refundable amount goes back to your original payment method; when the money reaches your account is up to the payment platform. The hours and percentages that apply are shown on your order page.
How long do you wait at the airport, and what if my flight is delayed?
Airport pickups include 1 hour of free waiting, counted from the flight's actual landing time. If the flight number was provided at booking, Midsky bears the risk of flight delay. Waiting beyond the free waiting time is charged in 30-minute units; the rate depends on the airport (Hong Kong, Macau or mainland China) and is confirmed in the written quote. The no-show rule (15 minutes) does not apply to airport pickups.
Cross-border and documents
How do trips between Hong Kong and Macau work?
HK–Macau routes are served by licensed cross-border taxis via the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge. Guangdong–Macau and local Macau trips are arranged flexibly to your itinerary.
What travel documents do I need for cross-border trips?
Passengers must hold valid travel documents, visas and all papers required for immigration, and maintain lawful entry, exit and stay status. Booking ahead is recommended for cross-border trips.
Can I take a car directly from Hong Kong Airport to Macau?
Yes. Licensed cross-border taxis run between Hong Kong International Airport and Macau via the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge. Send us your flight details and drop-off point for a quote; valid travel documents are required.
How can I check a cross-border car arrangement is legitimate?
Check three things: the operator is verifiable (Macau travel agencies can be looked up in the MGTO licensed entities registry); you receive a written quote with fees itemised before travel; receipts are available, with service contracts for larger bookings.
Planning your trip
Large group and lots of luggage — should we book a car or hail taxis?
If your group exceeds one taxi's capacity, carries substantial luggage, has a multi-stop itinerary or is crossing the border, booking ahead lets us confirm the vehicle, timing and price in advance. For short trips in town with light luggage, hailing a taxi is usually enough.
Can you accommodate children or elderly passengers?
Yes. Mention children, elderly passengers, accessibility or child-seat needs when you enquire and we will assign a suitable vehicle. Every passenger — including infants — needs valid travel documents for cross-border trips.
How should I arrange a car for a multi-stop day in Macau?
We arrange multi-stop itineraries covering the Macau Peninsula, Taipa, Coloane and the hotels. Share your stops and rough timings and we will quote by route or hours of service.
How far in advance should I book?
The earlier the better — vehicles and cross-border arrangements are in high demand during holidays, MICE events and race or festival periods. Vehicles are assigned after the quote is confirmed, payment is completed and we have accepted your booking. Bookings made 3 days or more ahead come with a guaranteed car. Within 3 days of the trip (including holidays), we usually confirm within about 5 minutes after payment: if a car is available we arrange it; if not, we refund you in full the same way you paid.
Is drinking water provided in the car?
Yes. Drinking water is kept in the car for passengers, free of charge.
Can I charge my phone during the ride?
Yes. Phone charging cables are kept in the car, at no extra charge.
Do I have to load my own luggage?
No. Your driver loads your bags into the car, arranges them and unloads them when you arrive; please mention pushchairs, wheelchairs or oversized items in the booking notes.
About Midsky
Is Midsky a licensed travel agency?
Yes. Midsky Travel Agency Ltd. is a travel agency licensed by the Macao Government Tourism Office and carries commercial insurance. You can look the company up in the MGTO licensed entities registry.
Do you have a physical counter for on-site reception?
Yes — we run a service counter in the arrivals hall of the Taipa Ferry Terminal for on-the-spot enquiries and reception.
Can I contact the driver directly?
Yes. After you book online, the chat on your “My order” page is one conversation with our team and the driver for your trip. Write in your own language: our team's replies are translated into it, and the driver's messages are shown as written.
What if the driver doesn't show up?
The driver must first confirm the job in our system. If the driver has not confirmed or set off on time, the system reminds the driver first, then alerts our dispatch team to follow up. Once the driver confirms, your order page shows the driver, their phone number and the plate. If we cannot supply a vehicle for a reason attributable to us, you are refunded in full.
